Happy New Year from Val Vista Sand & Gravel and Vulcan Materials Company!
As we ring in the new year, we wanted to share an update on the ongoing improvements at our facility.
As you may recall, we hired an outside technical team of engineers and experts last spring to help evaluate the operation and to identify potential odor sources.
Following their recommendations over the summer, we started making upgrades to the facility, which include implementing best practices for operations and maintenance, ordering new equipment and establishing new environmental controls. Please click here to read the last update.
Work has been underway and is continuing. Most of the equipment has been installed and we are currently awaiting delivery and installation of the final components to make the improvements operational. We anticipate this to take place within the month.
We will continue to run the reduced Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) production schedule that we previously committed to as we finalize installation of the improvements.
